Thank you for being who you are, hard working women, students in science, arts, writers in journalism, poetry, philosophy, mothers, the pillar of your family, politicians. Thank you for reading what I write, what I share. As a woman I have always fought hard for my rights to become successful, healthy, happy, for my family.
It has not been easy for me, and I am sure it has not been easy for many women who which I have contact with in the digital world. But we reach out, we study, we work, we are discipline and persevere until we conquer what we wanted.
We women are strong and deserve to speak out against violence against us, just because we have been perceived as the “weak gender”. This is a new era, and the era is ours for us to show the kind of strength needed to create a wonderful world of peace, health and love….without violence, and without discriminating anyone.
Men will be our partners, not our enemies. We are all human beings and deserve to walk together, all of us, nobody behind.
Enjoying a Barbra Streisand concert on cable, delightful voice and musical interpretation. She sang a song from the “Sound Of Music”, beautifully, magnificent. But I have a problem with a part of the lyrics of this song.
I will tell you first a little bit of my musical experience so you know why I dare to criticize (in a constructive way, of course) the lyrics of this song.
I happen to be a musician. I play the guitar and sing very well, actually. I sang professionally in my youth to pay for my medical career. I studied music, singing lessons and musical composicion: music and lyrics, in Bellas Artes in Mexico City. So I think I have a very good idea of what I am talking about, but I am always open for a healthy debate and to change my mind if somebody is willing to explain to me why I am wrong in my assertion about this song:
“Climb Every Mountain” — Written by Rodgers And Hammerstein.
This show tune was written for the 1959 musical “The Sound of Music” and sung by the Mother Abbess.
The problem I have with, is highlighted and I will tell you why below the lyrics:
Climb every mountain Ford every stream Follow every rainbow ‘Till you find your dream
It should say “reach” your dream, not find your dream. You already need to have found your dream, this is “know” your dream, then climb every mountain, until you reach it. And I don’t see any problem with the rhyme. Changing the word find to reach would not affect the tune nor the octaves, but it would make a lot more sense, and it would have more psychological and inspirational impact, in my opinion.
HATE IS IGNORANCE WITH FEAR — Dr. Martha A. Castro N., MD
According to data compiled in August last year, more than 14,000 cases were registered on charges of disseminating hatred speech and hatred material. Though these details are extensive, questions have surfaced about the ‘media-coated’ hatred speech which is being practised by a particular group of unscrupulous individuals.
On feeling physically threatened by hatred speech
Not only threatened. You can feel emotionally disturbed. You can feel psychic trauma, which can have physiological manifestations. You can feel silenced. These are all real harms that may be suffered by people who are subject to hatred speech that is not punishable.
Depression: Sadness, feeling down, having a loss of interest or pleasure in daily activities – these are symptoms familiar to all of us. But, if they persist and affect our life substantially, it may be depression.
The World Health Organization estimates that 121 million people worldwide suffer from depression. I am one of those 121 million people. Maybe you are too. Maybe you know someone close to you who is affected by depression.
Although it may seem trivial to some, I have found great comfort in dark times in some of the following inspirational quotes about depression. To know others have experienced the darkness of depression and have seen the light at the end is sometimes all we need when we feel we are alone.
“Do just once what others say you can’t do, and you will never pay attention to their limitations again.” James R. Cook
“Don’t let life discourage you; everyone who got where he is had to begin where he was.” Richard L. Evans
“It has been my philosophy of life that difficulties vanish when faced boldly.” Isaac Asimov
“What would you attempt to do if you knew you could not fail?” Robert Schiller
“Start by doing what’s necessary; then do what’s possible; and suddenly you are doing the impossible.” St. Francis of Assisi
“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do, than by the ones you did. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore, Dream, Discover.” Mark Twain
“The greatest discovery of my generation is that a human being can change his life by changing his attitude of mind.” William James
“Many of life’s failures are experienced by people who did not realize how close they were to success when they gave up.” Thomas Edison
“You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take.” Wayne Gretzky
“There are two ways to live your lif e. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle.” Albert Einstein
“Accept challenges, so that you may feel the exhilaration of victory.” George S. Patton
“Forget past mistakes. Forget failures. Forget about everything except what you’re going to do now – and do it.” William Durant
“Minds are like parachutes, they function only when open.” unknown author
“Pursue, keep up with, circle round and round your life, as a dog does his master’s chaise. Do what you love. Know your own bone; gnaw at it, bury it, unearth it, and gnaw it still.” Thoreau
“When one door closes, another opens. But we often look so regretfully upon the closed door that we don’t see the one that has opened for us.” Alexander Graham Bell
There is no magic pill to success. You need to work hard and adore what you do if you want to accomplish your purpose in life.
It is annoying to hear people complain about money all the time and how hard everything is, but they don’t do anything about it.
Everything worthwhile in this life is not easy to acquire. It requires effort, knowledge and true passion.
DON’T BE LAZY and WAKE UP!
When you really want to achieve your goals and the passion you have inside is strong, then 24 hours are not enough. You can’t wait for the new day to start, to see the dawn and get ready to work on your objective.
But if you are lazy or you are not sincere about acquiring success, then every little rock in your path is going to be a huge obstacle to continue.
Lazy people want to be on Facebook and other social media all the time sharing their fake lives, or they want to spend the day playing games and do nothing productive.
FIRST OF ALL:
You need to have a vision of where you want to go, if you don’t have a goal where you wish to go you will end up anywhere and nowhere. Organize, make a plan and then go for it, full force and do not let anybody and nothing to stop you from getting where you want to be.
Resting and allowing yourself to goof around is simply not allowed for “go getters” . Winners don’t know the meaning of a long vacation because they are busy working on their purpose in life, their goal, their objective.
Wonderful relationships have flourished this year. Today, December 18th, 13 more days to start the countdown to 0 at midnight. So many good things have happened this year, wonderful relationships flourished, others vanished away like the clouds at dawn, like toxic people.
Some people come to our lives smiling, but holding a knife in their back, some others come to us with the truth in their tongues and sweetness in their souls. It is the sincere brutal honest people I want in my life. They are the ones I want to celebrate all holidays and each day of my life.
LET TOXIC RELATIONSHIPS GO!
The toxic people, the ones who lie to take advantage of your kindness, the ones who don’t respect your wishes, your time, your knowledge, those people are the worse kind to have around; those people need to go away.
Let us start the new year 2019 with dignity, respect for ourselves.
We all have ups and downs. The key is to know that we can lift ourselves up whenever we start feeling apathetic, getting some strong motivation.
INSPIRATION TIPS TO GET YOURSELF OUT OF BLUE TIMES:
Once we notice that our mood starts going down, it’s time
For some inspiration quotes,
Getting away from toxic people

INSPIRATION: Never give up!
Nothing in this world has the power to make you feel bad, you should not let anybody to have that power over you. Take that power away from them and give it to you.
Situations could be hurtful but don’t allow them to rule your life. Take them as an experience in life to shape you and make you a better and stronger person, somebody who can break any limits that would seem impossible to reach for others.
Nothing is impossible in this life: NOTHING. If you really want something, you will get it. Remember that.

“Life is 10% what happens to you and 90% how you react to it” — Charles R. Swindon

Living is an art or is a path to destruction, and unfortunately the lack of love and compassion within the family structure is what triggers so much loneliness, depression and anxiety in many.
We are born, if we are lucky enough, to two loving parents who care about us so much to let us grow into kind, compassionate and successful human beings. But sometimes things go wrong: the family is dysfunctional, parents or children don’t care about each other. They become bitter and depressive, even when they finish graduate or post-graduate school; hey, maybe they even become rich, but no matter what they do in life unhappiness is always there.
These kind of frustrated person is the one that we should not become, it is the type of individual we all should avoid in our lives. They just drain the merriment out of us because it is the only way for them to find “joy”: when others are unhappy or unfortunate.
I would say to them: “Be happy, let others be joyful … let others live”
You own your life. Don’t let other to bring you down!
We can’t control what other people do, say or think. We can’t make someone else act with honesty, loyalty, integrity. All we can control is our behaviour and act with good morals and respect.
When someone else does something dishonest, disrespectful or unkind we can only control our reaction to it. Sometimes walking away is the best thing to do to avoid aggressive behaviour. The way we conduct ourselves in rough times is the way we show the kind of person that we are.
EVEN AN ADORABLE CAT KNOWS … LOL
Unfortunately we live in a world where there are some people who will lash out at others in jealousy, envy, hate or greed or plain old meanness. And no matter how good a person you are, there will always be those who try to tear you down as best they can.
Always have in mind that regardless of what anyone else does or says, we can always choose to take the high road. We can always choose to continue to act with integrity and kindness. And at the end of the day it is taking that high road that will bring us inner peace, even among the havoc and turmoil that others may try to create.
