“What goes around comes around” is the phrase that comforts most people when they’re in an unfair situation or any other situation in which they have no control over.
If you ask most people what karma is all about they will say something like, “It is punishment for past wrongs.” Or “What you do to others will come back to you.”
The concept of karma is very old and has its origin in ancient India. However, many Buddhist and Hinduist schools of thought use different definitions.
However, many people still have a need for an outside authority that punishes and rewards. This is apparent in the way many religions are still interpreted and practiced.
For generations, our ancestors believed in a judging and punishing god. Subconsciously we still project the image of a judging authority on a teacher, a set of religious or philosophical beliefs, or a concept like karma. This way, we just take away the old judging deity and replace it with another.
It’s seen as a sort of cause and effect; a universal system of justice against your crimes.
In fact, some people count on it for vengeance.
The original Buddhist idea of karma based on reincarnation is even more problematic with respect to evidence.
Nothing out of the ordinary happens much. Everything happens for a reason, sure, but that reason hasn’t been proven to be a spiritual or a mystical one. Everything happens for a reason because of cause and effect. That cause and effect is determined by probability.
In history, there have been legions of people who have done good deeds for their families and other people while still living lives of quiet desperation. What do infants do to deserve being abandoned by their parents, or being killed in car accidents?
At the other end, there are despotic leaders like Stalin and predatory criminals like Jack the Ripper who got to the end of their lives without any particularly dire consequences.
These examples do not prove that there is no such thing as karma, but should combine with the lack of evidence for karma to support the conclusion that karma is just a myth. The belief that what goes around comes around is just wishful thinking.
CONCLUSION: Karma is not a bitch. It is a myth. It doesn’t exist.

WAYS TO ENJOY YOUR LIFE!
#1 — Don’t allow the fear of failure to stop you from taking risks
While we will all do more to avoid pain than to gain pleasure in the short term, we need to flip our thinking so that we look more to the long term. We must ask ourselves questions like, “Why am I so worried? What’s the worst that can happen if I just take a risk? What’s the potential outcome 2, 3, 5, or even 10 years from now?
#2 — Remember that you’ve got this — you’ve pulled through before, and you’ll pull through again
Other ways to achieve it: all you have to do is realize that you’ve pulled through in the past and you’ll pull through again. Jot down how you were able to figure out a once-desperate situation. Recall the times when things seemed dark and bleak, but somehow, one way or another, you figured it out. You did it before and you’ll do it again.
#3 — Immediately disrupt any and all detrimental behavior and negative beliefs that are holding you back
I talk about beliefs because worry is born from a state of negative beliefs. There are different ways to come to the “chronic worrying path”. We worry because we believe we’re not good enough, smart enough, or capable enough to see something through. We worry because we don’t think we have what it takes. That leads to negative thinking, and a set of resultant behaviors that help to close the loop of negativity.
#4 — Your self-worth doesn’t rely on others’ opinions of you — ignore the naysayers
Make a conscious decision right now to do it. Decide, right here in this very moment, that your life means more than others’ opinions of you. And tell yourself you’re not going to worry about it anymore. It’s just not that important. It’s not worth your mental health. Just keep doing you and moving forward. All of the rest will eventually fall into place over time.
#5 — Anything in life that’s worthwhile, will never, ever come easy
Worrying does a huge number on us. It takes away on every level.
Physically, emotionally, spiritually and or financially. But, in order to move away from worry, not only do we need a major shift in our focus, but we need a strategic plan for the future. We need to set goals, create a plan, take action, persist, and never give up. Find your way back!

CLIMB EVERY MOUNTAIN 😉
Enjoying a Barbra Streisand concert on cable, delightful voice and musical interpretation. She sang a song from the “Sound Of Music”, beautifully, magnificent. But I have a problem with a part of the lyrics of this song.
I will tell you first a little bit of my musical experience so you know why I dare to criticize (in a constructive way, of course) the lyrics of this song.
I happen to be a musician. I play the guitar and sing very well, actually. I sang professionally in my youth to pay for my medical career. I studied music, singing lessons and musical composicion: music and lyrics, in Bellas Artes in Mexico City. So I think I have a very good idea of what I am talking about, but I am always open for a healthy debate and to change my mind if somebody is willing to explain to me why I am wrong in my assertion about this song:
“Climb Every Mountain” — Written by Rodgers And Hammerstein.
This show tune was written for the 1959 musical “The Sound of Music” and sung by the Mother Abbess.
The problem I have with, is highlighted and I will tell you why below the lyrics:
Climb every mountain
Ford every stream
Follow every rainbow
‘Till you find your dream
It should say “reach” your dream, not find your dream. You already need to have found your dream, this is “know” your dream, then climb every mountain, until you reach it. And I don’t see any problem with the rhyme. Changing the word find to reach would not affect the tune nor the octaves, but it would make a lot more sense, and it would have more psychological and inspirational impact, in my opinion.

According to data compiled in August last year, more than 14,000 cases were registered on charges of disseminating hatred speech and hatred material. Though these details are extensive, questions have surfaced about the ‘media-coated’ hatred speech which is being practised by a particular group of unscrupulous individuals.
On feeling physically threatened by hatred speech
Not only threatened. You can feel emotionally disturbed. You can feel psychic trauma, which can have physiological manifestations. You can feel silenced. These are all real harms that may be suffered by people who are subject to hatred speech that is not punishable.

DEPRESSION … YOU CAN FIGHT IT!
Depression: Sadness, feeling down, having a loss of interest or pleasure in daily activities – these are symptoms familiar to all of us. But, if they persist and affect our life substantially, it may be depression.
The World Health Organization estimates that 121 million people worldwide suffer from depression. I am one of those 121 million people. Maybe you are too. Maybe you know someone close to you who is affected by depression.
Although it may seem trivial to some, I have found great comfort in dark times in some of the following inspirational quotes about depression. To know others have experienced the darkness of depression and have seen the light at the end is sometimes all we need when we feel we are alone.
