Social Media, Blogging or Both?

I have a passion for blogging. Writing a blog post is interesting and imaginative.

I love creating, innovating, inventing, and blogging gives me that. I can create my own CSS, coding, editing and exploring website themes designs.

I do not find any kind of mental reward in social media, very interesting nor challenging.

I think that it has been  made for people who don’t like thinking and like gossiping, fighting constantly and posting a life they are not really living: a fake one. No wonder Facebook is frequently called: Fakebook.

Plus everything in those outlets has been created for them. All the users have to do is upload photos, videos and write, in many cases, frivolous or offensive updates.

I find social media boring and frankly, kind of idiotic and manipulative in most cases. Don’t take me wrong. I use many SM outlets, but I am not active, find them boring.

I mainly use Linkedin and Pinterest.  But Wordpress is my favorite website platform, hands down!

What do you think? What social media platform do you prefer or use the most?

Here, there is a list, but if you have another one you prefer and it has been real good to you, let us know in the comment section.

Twitter

Deceptive ” Health Advisers” in Social Media and Websites Promoting Fear – Part 1

HEALTH ADVISERS

Just like when you want to see a medical doctor, you want to make sure that you are consulting a true qualified graduate medical doctor, don’t you? You want to see his medical license and maybe you check him/her out on the Internet or even call the medical board of your state/country to corroborate that s/he is in fact a physician.

advisers

And that is how you should behave when you navigate in the internet, exactly the same way. You should always make sure that the person giving advice has the proper qualifications and professional training in the field you want advise or guideline.

Deceptive " Health Advisers" in Social Media and Websites Promoting Fear - Part 1 1

There are thousands of people in social media and all over the Internet that want to make a quick buck, and they use their expertise in advertising to start a digital business promoting health products, physical therapy treatments, “health magazines” that have damaged a lot of people who are desperate for a “cure” and they haven’t found it in traditional medicine for different reasons:

Deceptive " Health Advisers" in Social Media and Websites Promoting Fear - Part 1 2

  1. Graduate medical doctors who are not well trained.

  2. Lack of interest by the healthcare provider in the benefit of the patient.

  3. Medical doctors who just care about billing the medical insurance for pure profit.

  4. Physicians who never had an excellent qualified expertise attending patients as a whole.

  5. Physicians who do not keep on studying the newest medical advances and do not keep up to date on medica scientific advances.

Even the most credible information found online is useless in the absence of expert physician evaluation and diagnosis. Tell your doctor you fully trust what you have read online. Email them the article that’s captured your interest, or print it out and bring it to your next appointment. A good doctor will walk you through it.

Bloggers Rant:

A Little Ranting (and Honesty) About Instagram Growth

Sometimes I feel like the blogging community is a sisterhood of unstoppable ladies (and some gents) who can do anything and who support each other no matter what! Sometimes I feel like the blogging community is full of nothing but Regina George clones (or worse, Regina George clones in sheep’s clothing…aka Taylor Swifts) and it makes me crazy.

I can never really decide which is more accurate and this is probably the biggest reason why I’ve had approximately 4 blogs over my adult life (2 of which were fairly popular) and just up and deleted them after I got tired of the bulls*t. I’m not at that point now but I did want to address a few things and since this is my blog, I figured this was a better place than Instagram to rant.

Are social media influencers ruining Instagram?

Yes Definitely.

Instagram is a photo sharing application. In the beginning individual uses share pictures without any hashtag but now hashtags are used on such a large scale to reach the wider audience and influencers are abusing it.

Those who have more than 10,000 follower are turning into influencers. For good looking individual and especially girls is an easy job to get so much followers.

SOLUTION:

Well, there’S a solution for everything in this life, and hence to make your Instagram account grow again, get it fixed and unstuck:

1. Use hashtags the right way and frequently.

Hashtags link your photo to targeted communities, niches and keywords that people search for like #healthybreakfastideas in cooking niches. These communities, groups and people searching for content that’s relevant to them are less likely to see your posts without hashtags.

2. A CTA (call to action) tells your followers what to do next. For businesses, that “next step” should be signing up for a newsletter, going to your website or buying your product/service.

4. Have a strategy for Instagram

5. When your content is stale, well, it is discouraging. Make it diverse!

Sharing Options from WordPress.com to Facebook Are Changing

We wanted to update you about an upcoming change Facebook is introducing to their platform, and which affects how you may share posts from your WordPress.com website to your Facebook account.

Starting August 1, 2018, third-party tools can no longer share posts automatically to Facebook Profiles. This includes Publicize, the tool for WordPress.com and Jetpack-powered sites that connects your site to major social media platforms (like Twitter, LinkedIn, and Facebook).

Will this affect your ability to share content on Facebook? It depends. If you’ve connected a Facebook Profile to your site, then yes: Publicize will no longer be able to share your posts to Facebook. On the other hand, nothing will change if you keep a Facebook Page connected to your site — all your content should still appear directly on Facebook via Publicize. (Not sure what the difference is between a Page and a Profile? Here’s Facebook’s explanation.)

If you’ve previously connected a Facebook Profile to your WordPress.com site and still want your Facebook followers to see your posts, you have two options. First, you could go the manual route: once you publish a new post, copy its URL and share the link in a new Facebook post. (You can also share right from the WordPress mobile apps after a scheduled post goes live.)

The other option is to convert your Facebook Profile to a Page. This might not be the right solution for everyone, but it’s something to consider if your website focuses on your business, organization, or brand.

While Facebook is introducing this change to improve their platform and prevent the misuse of personal profiles, we know that this might cause a disruption in the way you and your Facebook followers interact. If you’d like to share your concerns with Facebook, head to their Help Community.

In the meantime, WordPress.com’s Publicize feature (and social media scheduling tools) will continue to be available to you for posting to Twitter, LinkedIn, and other social media platforms.

Do you ever get tired of People’s Opinions in Social Media?

I do. That is why I love blogging. Developing a blog is so much more interesting and fun than social media. I have found out that people who do not blog or keep a journal, participate in interesting forums or write articles, become really poor in their process of thinking and their writing capabilities are an atrocity.

FACEBOOK DESTROYING THE THINKER

Do you ever get tired of People's Opinions in Social Media? 6

Blogging requires thinking, knowledge of coding, meta-tagging, and so much more. Some gray matter at work? Have you noticed the level of writing in Facebook? They do not know how to express themselves, they do not know how to write properly. I can’t be close (not even digitally) with people who lack the basic internet etiquette. It is disturbing and my brain cells are too precious for me to waste them in Facebook.

Have you ever talked to a person who only subscribes to social media and asked him or her about blogging? I have, and they are fools, sorry, but it is the truth. They know nothing about inserting coding html, meta-tags, which is so simple to do.

I use social media as what it is: a tool, not as my basic platform to spread word of business not to chat. I only chat with my connections and friends here, in my blog and LinkedIn. I prefer to keep my frontal cortex far away from those social media outlets and just use them as an instant connection thru my main blogging source.

Quality over quantity will bring you happiness and success.
